Food and Drink

After a good night's sleep start your day with a delicious, award-winning breakfast served in the Glass Room overlooking the patio, pool and garden.

Feast on fresh berries, fruit, organic yogurts, cereals, homemade muesli and granola, a variety of fruit juices, creamy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, or a full traditional English breakfast or one of our specialty items. You choose. The menu is mouth-watering.

Breakfast is served exquisitely with silver cutlery, tea and coffee pots, crisp linen, butchers sausages and bacon, and free range eggs. What a lovely start to the day!

Breakfast is a fun time and we offer a wonderful buffet of starters before you choose from a wide variety of delicious cooked items. We have separate tables for each room.

For those who do not want to dine out, Jane offers one-course bistro suppers with complimentary canapes and bread for £20 in the Glass Room (by arrangement only). The candlelight, floodlit garden, china, silver and crystal create an intimate and magic charm.

The Supper Menu

Choose one of the following main course dishes. Each main course includes fresh bread and vegetables or salad where appropriate.

Warm salad of lamb, feta and medjool dates

Stir fried duck (or chicken) with noodles (£2 supplement)

Salad of roast chicken, red peppers, pine nuts and currants

Fillet of pork with prunes, mustard and wine with apple compote

Fricassee of chicken with a brandy cream

Fillet of Cajun salmon

Salad of poached salmon and prawns with a sweet chilli dressing

Seafood risotto with wine and vanilla

Cod or Sea Bass Provencal

Fillet of beef stroganoff (£2 supplement)

Roasted cod with sundried tomato, olive and herb crust

Salmon fish cakes with lemon butter

Seared fresh tuna nicoise

(V) Char grilled Mediterranean vegetables with baby spinach and balsamic

(V) Gnocchi with spinach, pine nuts and dolcelatte

(V) Gnocchi with tomato, spinach and mascarpone

(V) Pappardelle with mushroom ragu, walnuts and crispy sage

(V) Classic Greek salad

Please feel free to bring your own wine or other drinks as we are not licensed.

We are also happy to make dinner reservations at the many local restaurants or country pubs.

The Breakfast Menu

Monday-Friday: 8:30–9:15 am
Saturday/Sunday: 8:45-9:45 am

Buffet Selection:

The Buffet consists of a selection of homemade granola and muesli, fruit compote, a selection of cereals, fresh berries and fruit, fresh melon, organic yogurts, prunes, grapefruit, and a selection of fruit juices.

Cooked Breakfast:

Our traditional English breakfast consists of the following: local butcher’s bacon, prize-winning pork sausage and black pudding, fried bread, tomato, mushrooms, fried potatoes, baked beans and eggs fried or scrambled.

If you do not want the full breakfast, please order just the items you would like.
