Anchorage House was Awarded 'B & B/Guest Accommodation of the Year 2008/09' at the Cornwall Tourism Awards Grand Awards Dinner, and 'Best Guest Accommodation Southwest England 2008/09' Silver Award by Southwest Tourist Board.

Anchorage House has again been awarded the coveted 'Breakfast Award' and 'Dining Award' from Enjoy England for 2011, as it has every year since 2001. This award, coupled with the 'Breakfast Award' and 'Dining Award' won from the AA every year since 1998 marks Anchorage House out as one of the top Guest House breakfast and dinner providers in Britain

We have a very informal 'Chill Out' lounge area outside and away from the main house where guests can enjoy drinks, conversation, games and a more relaxed atmosphere than in the main guest lounge.

We've made many recent changes, including introducing a new luxury bedroom named 'Desirable' which is on the ground level and away from the main house. 'Desirable' has a fabulous curved wall divider, wet room with huge free-standing bath and deluge shower, giant super-king bed, 42" plasma TV, leather bucket chairs, refrigerator and much more. We have also recently refurbished our other four luxury rooms and suites.

We are also very pleased to have been named as one of 'The 100 Finest Places to Stay in England' by Enjoy England and the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, and in The Guardian's Bed and Breakfast Directory as 'One of the Best bed and breakfasts in the UK'

Anchorage House has been awarded the highest possible quality ratings of '5 Gold Stars/Highly Commended/Instector's Choice/5 RED Diamonds' again in 2012 by the AA and continuously every year since 1996. The Gold Stars denote Guest Accommodation reaching the Top 10% within the top 5-Star rating for overall quality. Combined with the 2011/12 VisitBritain rating of '5 Stars with Gold Award', we are proud to be one of the very few Guest Accommodations in Britain to hold Both of these top honours.
